Sarah Bodnya, B.A.
Ms. Sarah Bodnya is currently an intern completing her practicum placement while studying for her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (MA) at Yorkville University. She holds a Specialized honors Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University, a Bachelor’s of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.
Sarah is a passionate and experienced educator working with children, youth, and families within the school system for several years now. As an educator, Sarah has worked with children and youth of all ages. She is knowledgeable in working with a wide variety of students, including ones with learning disabilities, behaviour management issues, gifted/academically challenged, anxious students, and more. She is also experienced in dealing with students’ emotional concerns, such as self-esteem, bullying/peer pressure, and relational concerns.
Sarah’s dedication to her work is evident in the strong relationships she makes not only with the students, but with their families as well. Sarah seeks to make connections and improve individuals’ overall quality of lives. Sarah’s goal is to understand and relate to each client’s unique life story and create a comprehensive treatment approach that meets every client’s individual needs.
Sarah is fluent in Russian and is happy to accommodate Russian-speaking individuals.
